The story:
It all began with a lavender cocktail dress that I found for the weeding we are going to attend to this summer. Finding matching shoes, purse, ... was hard enough so I had the brilliant idea to make the jewelery myself;-).
I decided on a classic necklace but finding the right design and stones to match was a bit of a journey.
The creation it self was pretty straight forward and relativly fast (as fast as a spiral necklace can be I guess, there is just a lot of ground to cover;-). At least the pattern is really easy, not a lot that can go wrong there:-).

The story:
After the necklace was finished I found shoes that are a little bit more modern as supposed to be overly classic. The goal now was to create a transition from the classic necklace to the more modern shoes. I thought about something more graphic, a triangle ring.
Finding the right pattern in the right size was a looooong process. It took 3 different patterns and at least 7 tries before I found the right one. And even than I had to undo it and start over again because it became way too big.
In the end I had exactly what I had imagined and only needed to form and attach an elastic ring to it :-)

Aladin bracelets

The story:
The first try of a spiral technique. My thread is still the wrong one (stretch magic). It is nice because the bracelet stretches, but it is too thick and twists the spiral in a thick tube. It also doesn't bring out the 3D effect of the spiral very well.

The story:
This was supposed to become a necklace but making a necklace takes a long time, especially in a spiral! So it became the brother of the first Aladin bracelet;-)
This time I used a different thread (soft illusion cord). It gives it more texture, holds up the 3D effect of the spiral nicely and still stretches a little bit. It still is a pretty thick tube though.

The story:
My first try on a ring. I used regular thread first and experienced that the ring easily collapses. With a nylon thread coated with stainless steel it stays in shape and has a nice tight pull.

The story:
This was my first try stitching beads. I don't have the perfect material yet. My needle is too thick and the thread probably somehow wrong. I have the feeling that the beads are not pulled as tight together as they should be. On the other hand this allows the bracelet to be twisted and gives it a 3D effect:-).
